Conntivity is a free, browser-based internet speed and latency test. It measures the round-trip time (RTT) of HTTPS requests to public endpoints every second, so you can see how responsive your connection is right now instead of relying on a one-off number. It also runs a lightweight download and upload speed test, tracks latency over time, and flags connection drops. Nothing to install, no account, and no data leaves your browser beyond the requests the checks themselves make.
It is built for live streaming and broadcast operators working in vMix, OBS and similar tools, where a stable, low-latency link matters more than peak throughput.

How do I test my internet speed in the browser?
Conntivity runs a live HTTPS speed test directly in your browser, with no app or extension. It measures latency (round-trip time), then download and upload throughput against a CDN, updating as it goes.
What is the difference between latency and bandwidth?
Latency is the round-trip time for a packet to reach a server and back (ms), which drives how responsive a connection feels. Bandwidth is how much data can move per second (Mbps), which drives how fast large transfers finish. For video calls and live streams, low, stable latency matters as much as raw bandwidth.
Why does my live stream drop even when my speed is fast?
Speed tests measure average throughput, not stability. Brief latency spikes or packet loss cause dropped frames and disconnects that a single speed number hides. Continuous, per-second latency monitoring, like Conntivity, shows those spikes as they happen.
Is this an ICMP ping or traceroute?
No. Conntivity measures HTTPS round-trip time from this browser, which is what your apps actually experience. For native ICMP ping, traceroute and path fidelity, use netdx.
